Advocating for women in revenue roles has been a core part of Laurie Ehrbar’s career. Serving as chief marketing officer at Clari + Salesloft since December 2025, Ehrbar previously held leadership positions at companies like EQT Group, Smarsh, Bizagi, and ServiceNow, where she was both mentee and mentor for women working towards a revenue leadership role.
Ehrbar is also working with Women in Revenue, an organization formed in 2018 to offer mentorship and support to women in revenue roles. It’s teaming up with Clari + Salesloft this year to introduce a learning track covering topics that women in revenue face.
According to Women in Revenue’s 2025 annual report, 44% of women in revenue said the biggest challenge they face in the workplace was lack of mentorship (up from 34% in the previous year).
Revenue Brew spoke with Ehrbar about mentorship and the challenges women in revenue face.

How has mentorship and sponsorship been a part of your career?
From a leadership perspective, I always say to the team to seek sponsors, not just mentors. Sponsors are going to advocate for you in the rooms you’re not in. Being a woman, there’s a lot more that we juggle. It’s that invisible load we all have. I think [about] leaning in with empathy for the wider team and helping guide them to the right answers in a sponsored way, versus just being a mentor.
How has that mentorship developed throughout your career?
I’ve been very fortunate to have a lot of people advocating for me throughout my career. It’s leaning into solving problems and trying to find the right people to help guide you as a mentor and as a mentee, creating space for other women to have that. Honestly I really didn’t have a lot of women throughout my career that were sponsors for me, and that’s why I try to create that for the women at Clari + Salesloft now.

What are some barriers or challenges you’ve faced and you’ve seen other women face in revenue roles?
Not even just in revenue roles, but in general, one of the stats that jumped out at me from the Women in Revenue [annual report] research was 43% of women in revenue considered leaving their roles in the past year due to lack of workplace flexibility. We see that a lot, and that creating that opportunity for women to have that flexibility in the workplace is just incredibly important.
How are you working with Women in Revenue to break down those barriers?
I’m so excited about this partnership because it’s not just the standard partnership…It’s creating that opportunity for us to have a true partner for other women within our organization. What we’re doing with them isn’t just the standard, you have these speaking opportunities and all of these other great things that they provide, they’re actually going to also provide just for the women of Clari + Salesoft a learning and training track.
Can you talk about what that learning track will look like?
Throughout the year, they’re going to be doing these virtual sessions leaning into the issues that all women face in the workplace, but particularly women in revenue. You’re at the center of everything when you’re focused on revenue and the pressure there is complicated. Building out the training sessions over each quarter, so this isn’t just a one-and-done relationship or something they have to go seek out; it’s going to be both a push and a pull.
Why do you think it’s important for an organization like Women in Revenue to exist in today’s workplace?
Ultimately, when women advance in revenue, companies become stronger, more innovative, more resilient, and that’s the outcome that we’re investing in.
